[Case Study] Health Monitoring of Wind Turbine Blades
Health monitoring of wind turbine blades
This is a case study on structural health monitoring of wind turbines using fiber optic sensors. The sensors can be installed without issues during the manufacturing stage, and the system provides real-time data even during the winter months. Monitoring of the blades allows for the assessment of static and dynamic loads, temperature effects, blade distortion (misalignment), and vibrations (frequency and modal response). During operation, data acquisition and analysis were possible from all systems. For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.
